World’s best and worst cities to live in 2021

Auckland (New Zealand) topped the annual Global Liveability Index in 2021. 140 cities were assessed, of which only the TOP-10 was allocated.

Analysts assessed 140 cities according to the following criteria:

  • stability;
  • culture / environment;
  • infrastructure;
  • healthcare;
  • education.

Leadership positions this year were taken by the cities of the Asia-Pacific region. The first place was taken by the city of Auckland in New Zealand. Osaka (Japan) is in second place, and Adelaide (Australia) is in third. A very important factor in compiling the rating was the recovery from the pandemic and the return to normal life.
