Will the borders be closed in case of a lockdown? President gave an answer

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that in the event of a probable lockdown in January, the country will not close its borders.

This became known from a video that the president posted on his Facebook page.

“A likely lockdown in January does not mean that you need to cancel your planned vacation or return tickets. For citizens of Ukraine, the state border will be open for exit and entry, ”Zelensky said.

At the same time, he said that it would be very difficult to avoid a lockdown and there is a high probability of a lockdown in January. The government will have to warn in advance about the introduction of strict quarantine and clearly explain its rules.

“We weighed all the pros and cons, consulted with local authorities and received an assessment from the Ministry of Health regarding the situation in hospitals, and I recommended the Prime Minister not to announce a lockdown in December,” the president added.

We will also remind that the chief sanitary doctor Viktor Lyashko said that during the lockdown ski resorts, hotels and churches will work.
