Instagram employees were not too lazy and counted which of the cities in the world were most often photographed by the users of the social network. Thus, a list of the most popular cities of the outgoing year was formed:

It is noteworthy that three out of ten popular cities are located in the United States.

According to Instagram, the most popular attractions in 2015 were the Eiffel Tower, Louvre and Red Square, as well as the Colosseum and Notre Dame Cathedral.

That being said, the most popular hashtag of 2015 (and we think it’s very cute) is #love.
