Malta named the condition under which it will open for tourists
In an interview with Euronews, the Minister of Health of Malta, Chris Firn, spoke about the government’s plans to vaccinate 70% of the population of Malta by the end of September 2021.
“A realistic but ambitious goal is that by the end of September we vaccinate 70% of our population. At the same time, vaccination certificates will allow citizens from the red zones to travel, even if their country is experiencing an outbreak, ”he said.
He noted that the main condition for the recovery of the travel market in Europe will be a similar level of vaccination in other countries.
“This will allow us to open our economy as a single unit, and tourism and trade will recover at a faster pace,” – explained the head of the Maltese Ministry of Health.
