It became known when Cyprus will open borders for Ukrainians

Cyprus resumes air links with other countries. The country’s Council of Ministers announced the opening of the borders in 2021.

Ukrainians will be able to visit Cyprus with March 1, 2021, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

Note that earlier in Cyprus there was a classification of countries according to the epidemiological situation in the form of letter designations – categories A, B, C. Now the government of the country has changed the classification to a common European one – red, orange, green and gray zones.

In the list of countries in the “red” zone – Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Israel, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Citizens of these countries can enter Larnaca and Paphos from 1 March 2021. But tourists are required to pass 2 PCR tests on COVID-19. The first must be done 72 hours before entering the country, and the second at the airport of arrival. The cost of the test is 30-40 €.

Prior to the entry of the new rules of entry into the country, the Cypriot authorities intend to revise the situation in the countries from January 15, 2021. Therefore, the list of states in these categories may change.

Recall that Iceland has changed the rules of entry for foreigners – tourists who have had coronavirus will be allowed into the country.

You can find out where you can fly now and what travel restrictions are in effect in our new section “Restrictions”. There you can also subscribe to notifications about changes in the regime of entry into the country of interest or in all directions.
