Egyptian resorts introduce new restrictions on holidays

The government of the country has decided to introduce a ban on New Year parties in hotels and restaurants.

To avoid a large crowd of people and, as a result, a worsening of the epidemiological situation, the authorities decided to ban the New Year’s entertainment events. Compliance with the rules will be monitored by special “secret observers” who will fine violators.

Recall that from December 1 in Egypt, there are new quarantine restrictions for tourist facilities, establishments, shops and discos. According to the rules, shopping centers and shops must close until 22:00, cafes and restaurants – until 24:00, and discos and clubs – until 2:00.

Also, on December 1, new entry rules came into force: now, on a negative certificate in English with a test result for COVID-19, there must be not only a wet seal and a barcode, but also a watermark or QR code.
