Sri Lanka Tightens Entry Rules

The Sri Lankan authorities have decided to tighten the rules of entry for foreigners due to the worsening epidemic situation in the country. Now even vaccinated tourists must undergo a mandatory two-week quarantine.

The new entry rules will be in effect until the end of May. Mandatory requirements also include a mandatory PCR test for the first and 11-14 days of quarantine. If both of them are negative, then the traveler can safely move around the country. Until the results are obtained, foreign citizens will have to self-isolate in one of the certified hotels.

Recall that from May 17, the country introduced a curfew from 23:00 to 4:00. At this time, the work of restaurants, bars, shopping centers, casinos and other public places is limited.

We also remind that the Egyptian authorities did not extend the abolition of the tourist visa fee. Already from May 1, 2021, foreign travelers will be required to pay $ 25 for registration.
