How to get to Boryspil during quarantine and not go broke on a taxi
Another lockdown also affected the transport to Boryspil airport. You can still get there by taxi (a kidney or something to sell), Skybus buses and the Kiev Borispol Express train. Special passes for this transport are not required at the moment.
So, let’s talk about options for how to get to the airport on a budget:
An excellent option for an economical transfer to Boryspil airport. Buses run from morning to late evening once an hour from the Kiev-Passenger South Station to Terminal D with a stop at the Kharkivskaya metro station. Travel time will be about an hour.
Cost: UAH 100 – full route and UAH 60 – shortened route (airport – Kharkivska metro station).
It should be noted that you can pay for the ticket only in cash! You can find out the bus departure time from the Skybus dispatcher at 095 431 07 17 and 097 831 49 32.
Train to Boryspil airport
Kiev-Borispol Express trains depart from Kiev-Passenger station and arrive at the platform next to Terminal D. Travel time is 40 minutes. The express makes intermediate stops at the stations “Vydubychi” and “Darnitsa”.
Cost: 80 UAH between any points of the route. You can pay for the ticket by card at the machines at the stations or at the conductor on the train and in cash at the box office.
